kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia May 8, 2005 Red colour, highly carbonated but no head. Big sour cherry aroma, with mild funk there too. Very dry and sour flavour, brilliantly acidic. Juicy cherries. Medium bodied, wonderfully refreshing lambic.
Bouteille Moan And Dove, Mai 2005
beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 2, 2005 Cloudy red color with no head. Amazing aroma and flavor of acid and funky cherries covered in dust. The fruit really jumps out to grab the tastebuds, I like that ! Light body, very soft carbonation. As in Hanssens’ Oude Gueuze the funkyness adds an amazing dimension to the lambic, so far these are some of my favorite lambics. Merci Olivier ! aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA Apr 22, 2005 Updated: Nov 16, 2005 Cheeries balance nicely with lemons and sour lambic base. Might be just a tad to much cherry sweetness. full mouthfeel and nice sour finish. re rate from previous. Has lost much of its previous sour notes. Much sweeter and more cough syrup like. biggcb (459), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 20, 2005 First taste is a tad on the tart side, but does not over power you. Excellent sweet & sour fruit aroma. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Apr 18, 2005 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Flat as a pannekoeken. Rosy red colour. Strong, sour aroma - invitingly vinuous and deep. Splendid Kriek. Candy cherry flavour on a pear drop background (hello Mark!). It’s smooth, long, with sherbet mixed in and a tasty lengthy, warming finish. I don’t go much for flat Lambics, but this sticky fellow is absolutely crammed with taste. pootzboy (1037), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada Mar 29, 2005 Poured a murky copper-red with only a lace cap. Nose was nice: berries, musty banana, wet horse blanket. Puckering mouth feel...this Kreik has more of a sour decernment than a tart berry profile, musty malty body is eclipsed by the sourness....finish is puckering sour...after a few sips you appreciate it more...this is well made but I prefer rodenbach. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 29, 2005 Orange-red appearance. Very smooth, not harsh on palate, not too sour, was expecting harsher. Sweet finsish. Nutty cherry and cidery aroma.
