Aroma is of sour cherries, light wood, horseblanket, and must. Taste is much the same. The sourness and the fruit all play wonderful together which makes for a terrific lambic. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Bottled sample. Bright pinkish red in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of sweet cherry, lemon, and a bit of wood. More sweet cherry and lemon in the mouth, along with a funky cream cheese finish. Fairly light bodied with a fair bit of sourness. Not overly complex or concentrated, but fairly drinkable nonetheless. scrizzz (1265), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Color between pink and red, depends on the angle. Not much head. Aroma is only kissed with cherry, most of the character is the tart citrus and wood of Hanssens classic geuze. The lemon juice notes from the geuze combined with the cherry become more of a grapefruit. Diggin’ it. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA

Pours a cloudy red with a small light pink head. Aroma and flavor is quite tart and funky and sour. Some sweet cherry, maybe some fish (?), and acidic notes. Pretty good but a little acidic and there was something odd about it that I couldn’t pin down. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA
