This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

True to the style.. Tart red fruit, tart raspberries, tart cherries and a puckering, mouthwatering, vinegary finish. Not much wood interplay, if any... Just a transparent, sour, tart, red fruit profile... RRBC Supplication comes to mind.. Although not the same.. This honestly has a touch brighter fruit and less barrel influence in comparison. Super sour, refreshing finish. No complaints. I love sours!!! --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Bottiglia 75cl @ i troeggi. Rosso carne con bella schiuma. Frutta rossa sovrastata da aceto, un pò di limone. Difficile, ma apprezzabile.

Sampled from a shared bottle at the Cardinal, Stavanger at a beer tasting in August 2015. Ruby colour, with a rich taste of cherries, old burgundy and hints of wood and leather. Not too vinegary, but with a subtle and complex sour taste. Very interesting and full, fruity flavour. Refreshing and very individual. Excellent beer.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly cloudy light burgundy with very little head that dissipates fairly quickly. BIg cobweb and basement aromas with very tart cherry, cranberry and plum on the nose. Lots of cherry stone and sour cherry on the palate with good basement, musty notes as well. Bone dry with a slightly agressive dry tartness on the finish. Excellent!

Fruity aromas. Golden color, a bit hazy liquid. Medium sweetness, not much bitterness and medium-heavy sourness. Fresh taste of cherries. Not too sour or too sweet! Not much carbonation. A great kriek from Hanssens, definitely one I will drink again.

Bottle. Pours hazy red with nice-settling creamy pink head, some sediment. Aroma is funky, sour cherries, dry brett, some cheese and mold. Tart cranberry, some oxidized raspberries and yam. Taste is packed with sour tart cherries. Really sour, clean and refreshing. Tart berries, cranberries, raspberry. Some vinegar and lemon. Really dry long finish. Fizzy body. Really fruity with quite some funk. Different from aroma. Light sweet turns limy and really tart.
