3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle (375ml). My 1100th rating - still two months to my one-year RateBeer anniversary! Poured a beautiful apricot-ruby with virtually no head. Aroma - oh my God thatís wonderful - sour citrus, yeast, wet wool, a hint of burnt rubber, wet aged cedar firewood, *maybe* a hint of cherry - itís certainly sour. Taste - sour lemon, sour cherry, yeast, white wine vinegar - this is flat yet still somewhat lively, sticky, heavily acidic - almost pleasant and juicy compared to some of the extreme lambics Iíve tried (hello Girardin Black Label) but very drinkable, fruity without being sweet - it seems sort of sweet in the aftertaste, but itís all about the juicy funk and sourness when youíre drinking it. Pleasant.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mahogany red body, slightly pink head. Aroma has plain sourness and tannins. Rancid candy and cherry. Strange. Fflavour is really sharp intense, but misses bit of the sourness. It comes afterwards. Flavour has lot of red berries. Quite harsh and really kicks in. Bit woody and leathery.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle. BB 07/08/2027. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear (w/o yeast) dark blood red colour with a small pinkish white head.
Red berries, mild sweetness, woody dryness, vinegar, sourness and tartness in the aroma. Very nice and interesting. The flavour is strongly sour and tart with acidity. Red berries are well presented. Adding the yeast didnít do much to the flavour. A bit harsh.

Your classic well made Kriek Lambic. Hard to argue anything around this one, though over the years it seems to have gotten a bit thinner, possibly due to the production being expanded. Dank regardless!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From my backlog. Bottle @ Irreale. Rubi colour with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is very acidic and sourish with notes of vinegar and cherries. Flavor is strongly acidic, very fruity, mainly cherries, notes of wood and slightly sweet; strong vinegar with an excellent druration. Strong acidic final with a good duration.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in February 2013. Pours fairly clear ruby red color with a 2 finger dense pink head with poor retention, that reduces to a lacing ring that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of sour cherry, cherry skin, cranberry, green apple, grape, pear, clove, pepper, oak, leather, straw, hay, red wine, vinegar, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of cherry, wild/lactic yeast, and oak notes; with good strength. Taste of big sour cherry, cherry skin, cranberry, green apple, pear, red wine, oak, clove, straw, grass, hay, vinegar, leather, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of fruity acidity on the finish; with lingering notes of sour cherry, cranberry, green apple, oak, clove, red wine, leather, vinegar, straw, hay, and musty funk on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of cherry, oak, and wild/lactic yeast flavors; with a very nice malt/acidity balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, crisp, and acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent sour kriek style. All around great complexity and balance of cherry, oak, and lactic/wild yeast flavors; and very smooth to sip on with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2013 Refrigerated 75 cl green bottle corked and capped poured into a tulip. Pours translucent dark red with medium pink head which dissipates quickly. Lighter cherry aroma, medium body, lower carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is complex, bold, sour, and cherry. Very good kriek.

Pours a dark pink beer with a good white head. Smells heavy sour and tastes like it. Bit cherry on the back ground. Nice sweet aftertaste. Thin body, average carbo and a watery texture. Sick beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy brown red. Nose started off with some cough syrupy cherry and became more straight cherry and nice lactic notes. Taste follows with nice fruit and tart acid and almost mildly lactic mouth feel. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml corked bottle. A hazy deep red beer, with an average sized, fizzy, mostly diminishing off-white to pink head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately to heavily yeasty (barnyard, leather), with notes of cherry, wood, lemon, hint of vinegar. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, heavily acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Wild and fairly cherryish nose. Extremely acidic, very vinegary and astringent. Good, but one step behind their Gueuze.
