3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I was expecting less than I got here, not being a fan of sourpus, dry geueze and lambic. But this kriek is sweeter and more mellow than Cantillon, which for me is good. The brew pours a nice amber with a definite reddish hue. Very prett, with delicate carbonation and a good, fizzy head, that eventually diminishes. I smell woody, cheesy, cherries with maybe a dirty sock and a used band-aid thrown in. Lotsa cherry flavor, surprising maltiness and hints of mint and herbs. Though sweet, there is a distinctly, sour lambic squeeze of acidity about midway through and into the finish. This is a nice lambic for folks like me who get a stomachache thinking about Cantillon, and love Flanders sour red ales.

Bottle. Sweeter, but also more sour compared to Cantillons kriek. Big strawberry notes. Maybe not as complex and deep as other offerings, but sure drinkable and nice.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle, rating #3333) pours a murky ruby colour with a frothy pink head. aroma of cherry stones, custard and barnyard, quite funky, with notes of lemon juice, earth and orange peel. flavour is quite sour, with big notes of lemon juice, some more barnyard, acetone, kiwi and only the lightest hint of cherries in the finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20

Pours a deep red with a short off-white head. It has an aroma of dark cherries and some basement funk. The flavor is tart cherries and some funk with a great tart finish over a medium, low-carbonation body.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy red with medium pink to purple head that drops quickly. Aroma of cherries, bretta, redcurrant, very fresh. Taste is very sour, fruity tart with a distinct lingering sourness. Almost too much even for me but manages to stay refreshing rather than overbearing. Body is light and crisp with average carbonation.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful deep red color. With a creamy cherry red head. Funky and lemon zest aroma. Really nice. A sharp sour upfront and goes all the way down. Very good flavors. Really love the sour consistency.
