COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Bottle (75cl): going to take me a long while to get used to this style. As a winemaker this has almost everything I try to avoid. I suspect this is what the style should look like so I’ve taken it easy in my scoring. Red brown color. Cloudy and no head. There is a light spritz. Aromatics take the cake. Volatile, slightly mould, must, old oak. Maybe a hint of decomposing fruit. Dry, extremely sour and no bitterness. Medium light palate. Long acid finish. Mousey and dirty. Very old world. Technically this is faulty and crap. I’ll come back and score again when I have more experience. For the moment it hurts to give this score.

Pale red colour, no head. Smell is lactic acid, tannine and some fruitiness, but sour. Taste is very tarte, tanninic, with maybe some very little sweet fruitiness coming to the end. Dry mouthfeel. Long woody aftertaste. Great thirst quencher, very very nice kriek.

Hoprider (134) - DENMARK - APR 16, 2015
Pours clear red with very little head. Aromas of oak, sour, balsamic cherries, some yoghurt and some almost lime-like citrus notes. The taste is pretty tart and the cherry taste is very.. well, tart. More on rich, mineral, sour fruit than ripe fruit if you see what I mean. The mouthfeel is light, carbonation is light and the aftertaste is full and very drying in the end.

Red color, no head. Aroma of wine and homemade cherry juice, with a hint of funky aroma. Tastes very dry and sour, paralyzes tongue. Unique beer.

Very sour, a slight metallic taste. Almost like a raspberry wine. Probably a zero IBU ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
