Ar: Dark fruit, jam, marmalade, vanilla, alcohol, Brown sugar, extremely rich. Ap: Ruby colour, medium beige head. F: Boozy, although the bottle is two years old, it is noticable hot. Some roastiness dark Fruit and malts, jam, dark fruit and brown sugar. M: Full bodied soft bubbles. T: no doubt this will be great given time to soften the alcohol, right now the alcohol is too prominent.

2012 Vintage Thanks to Baggio for the bottle Dark orange brown color, half finger of off white head that went to nada very quickly. Obvious ABV legs. nose is of dried salted pork, quite odd but nice. Underneith the pork nose was dried cherries, strawberries, apricots and a lot of near burnt caramel. Big nose. Big and rich taste and feel. Still a bit of pork taste but big caramel backbone followed by stone fruits . Big bodied, obvious alcohol, and low carbonation. Nice barleywine.

Sweaty cheese aroma mixed with Goldings (?) hops. Some roasted notes. Fruity and some raisins can be detected in the back. Slightly malt sour and quite sweet. Will probably develop from maturing. Still enjoyable.

Doft: Russin, kanderat socker, hård fruktkaramell, humle. Smak: Som doft + dadlar, vaniljglass. Saknar lite längre eftersmak.

Hazy medium brown with small off white head. The aroma is uninspiring with some malt, spice, and skunk. Full body with just a little alcohol. Flavor is much better than expected from the aroma. Good balance of sweet brown sugary malt and herbal hops with some spiciness and pleasantly sour finish. Pretty easy to drink too.

Sample at SBWF 2010. Vertical tasting of 2009 and 2006 vintages. 2006 vintage: Unclear amber with no lasting head. Heavy aroas of mainly dried fruits and fudge. Not as sweet as the aroma suggests. Very well-aged and would probably hold up a couple of years more. 2009 vintage: Having had the 2006 vintage before this, it’s very clear this is still too young and has at least a year or two left to become good. Sweet and boozy, lacking complexity and integrity. Scores for 2009: Ar 7, Ap 4, Ta 6, Pa 3, Ov 12
