Pours a deep amber, beige head.
Mature, malty aroma, caramel, walnuts, marzipan, toffee, fudge, dried fruits, sherry, madeira, earth, hops.
Semi-sweet, full bodied, medium bitterness, creamy CO2.
Malty, caramelly taste, the alcohol is quite evident but balanced, dried fruits, apricot, prunes, nuts, marzipan, madeira, earth.
Long, sweetish aftertaste, dries out nicely.

330 ml bottle courtesy of Alex. Thanks. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head that recedes to a fine film. The aroma is raisins, carrots and slightly sour toffee. The taste had ample raisins, brown sugar and some nuts, but not very much bitterness. The palate was full and a bit oily with soft carbonation. Finishes short and sweet. Overall: Interesting brew, a nice change of pace from the barley wines that I typically get.

Malty and caramel aroma. Caramel is best in taste. It has a really "Barley Wine" of saithe in both taste and aroma. The upper part of the mouth gets its bitterness for a long while. But feels most mediocre anyway. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle shared at RBSG 2012 Grand Tasting. Light amber with little head. Sticky sweet malty, vanilla and toffee notes, strong alcohol aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2012 A clear deep chestnut amber brew, an off-white head, good lacing and some curtains.
Smelling of toffee, muffin batter, butter scotch, nuts and almonds. Some vanilla.
Starting with brown bread, brown sugar, syrup, dates, raisins, sherry, some bitter orange peel. Eggnog.
Medium carbonation, small bubbles, smooth, oily, sticky. A warm feeling (of alcohol), a big body.
A very sweet and warm barley wine. A real candy shot. Wonder how it will mature?
Bottle 330 ml. This was the 2010 vintage, 10% ABV.

Draft @ -3-små rum: black colour, no head! Aroma is lots of raisins, dark chocolate, caramel and fruits. Flavor is à fruity bom of caramel and dark chocolate, big body long fruity finish! This is werry hight quality brewing!!

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep dark brown beer with no carbonation and medium brown head. Smell: caramel and sweet malt domination. Brown sugar and sugar cane notes with rum and raisin notes. Impressive nose. Taste: full body with caramel malt and brown sugar with toffee domination and rum barrel notes. Fruity with raisin and plums. Good attenuation. Alcohol finish. Aftertaste: caramel, rum, astringent alcohol and sugar.
