330 ml bottle courtesy of Alex. Thanks. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head that recedes to a fine film. The aroma is raisins, carrots and slightly sour toffee. The taste had ample raisins, brown sugar and some nuts, but not very much bitterness. The palate was full and a bit oily with soft carbonation. Finishes short and sweet. Overall: Interesting brew, a nice change of pace from the barley wines that I typically get.

Brun/röd med stort ljusbrunt skum. Doftar mycket russin, karamellmalt, ganska söt i smaken med russin som dominerar. Fyllig och ganska bra!

This gentleman has an aroma from deep malt, bread, dades and figs. The taste swoops in like a thick wave of caramel sauce draped in raisin fluids. There’s a hazelnut and almond oily texture and the aftertaste is rich and sweet from dark fruits. Maybe a little too sweet? Jolly good show sir!!

Hazy nut brown, small nut brown head. Sticky glue aroma. Alcoholic, fruity (plums, vigs) and glue (!) aroma. Unbalanced brew which was not ready yet. (2/3/3/2/7 1.7)
Re-rated draught@SBWF 2007
Ruby red, good creamy beige head. A bit roasted malts, alcohol and horseblanket in the nose. Dark chocolate, rye bread, nice bready hops in the flavor. Nice barley wine style brew and now much better than last time. Rating based solely to this year’s tasting.

[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] An unclear brown beer with a lazing light brown head. The aroma is sweet hoppy combined with notes over over ripe fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, and over ripe fruit, as well as light notes of wood.

Bottle. 2009. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Rich malt and caramel aroma with light dried fruit. Malt and toffee/caramel flavor with dark fruit and light alcohol. Medium-plus bodied. malt/toffee and dried fruits linger with light alcohol.

Bottle from City Beer. Pours orange brown with an attractive off-white head and a fruit and slcohol aroma. Thereis an astringent fruity flavor that burns like hell. But overall a pretty good brew.
