Flaske 0,33l fra Systembolagets e-beställning. Drukket hjemme 30 Apr 12. Mørk gylden. Høyt luftig skum som varer lenge. Fester seg litt til glasset. Litt uklar. Anonym aroma: Litt blomsterduft. Behagelig blomster & parfymesmak. Svakt syrlig bitter ettersmak.

300 ml bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours hazy dark reddish golden with a frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet with bread, dry wood, yeast, peaches, hay, earthy tobacco and hints of caramel and oxidation. Taste is sweet and bitter with bread, hay, overripe peaches, cereal, pine needles, wet earth, orange peal and very subtle hints of mould and soap. Mouthfeel is round, slightly oily bitter and light to medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with oily pine, grass, bread and orange peal.

0.33l bottle from Schoukjelleren. A hazy copper orange beer with a lasting medium off-white head. Aroma has both yeasty fruits, sweet malts, citrus and some really ripe fruits. Average carbonation with a mild oily mouthfeel. Flavors are also ripe fruity with a solid amount of hops, more ripe fruity and citrus tones before it ends light bitter in a dry finish and aftertaste. A bit unbalanced and I’m not to impressed really, but it’s drinkable.

Nose is decent sweet hops, lemon, leaves, weak mediumbitenthol, feel is watery, carb is medium, taste is ’flat’ hops, weak sweet leaves, sour cream (couldn’t define date, though).

Malt aroma with hints of floral hops and a somewhat strange metallic and confined scent. The same oddly confined and almost moldy tone that’s in the smell is also noticeable in the taste. The taste is malt, yeast, fruit and floral hops with great bitterness. Low carbonation makes the beer feel a bit off. A different IPA with a somewhat peculiar taste.
