Nose is decent sweet hops, lemon, leaves, weak mediumbitenthol, feel is watery, carb is medium, taste is ’flat’ hops, weak sweet leaves, sour cream (couldn’t define date, though).

Malt aroma with hints of floral hops and a somewhat strange metallic and confined scent. The same oddly confined and almost moldy tone that’s in the smell is also noticeable in the taste. The taste is malt, yeast, fruit and floral hops with great bitterness. Low carbonation makes the beer feel a bit off. A different IPA with a somewhat peculiar taste.

Bottle. My second beer from this fairly new Swedish micro; the last one was a disaster so my expectations are rather low. It pours a cloudy dark orange body with a small white head. Aroma is fruity citric hops, caramel malts and hints of chocolate and kiwi. Nice, and a quite original setup. In the mouth, I get grassy hops and pine, with hints of caramel and citrus in the aftertaste. Smooth. This IPA doesn’t really have a too assertive taste but with such a low ABV and a nice and original malt/hop profile (more an East Coast IPA than anything else) this ain’t bad at all. As a matter of fact, it’s rather refreshing and I could definitely have a few of these without getting bored.

Hang bodelin ipa. On tap at glenfiddich... Pours a reddish caramel brown pour with a hefty fluffy just off-white head... Piney citrus hop focus, sense of bitterness. Odd yeast profile...Flavors have a citrus hop profile at first follwed by a bit of red grape and dark fruit which adds oddly to the profile. Perhaps the yeast is what’s contributing to that. Midway through a mild bitterness surfaces and eases on through the finish. Medium bodied. 7/4/6/3/13

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2011 330ml bottle. Medium amber, white head. There’s a slight haze, but towards the end of the bottle the sediment gets heavier. Fruity, floral, spicy aromas, lots of hops and malt, apricots, citrus, and quite evident yeast notes. Medium bodied, dry, high bitterness. Hoppy, malty taste, citrus peel, green peas, the yeast comes through a bit too strongly. In the finish the bitterness is owerpowering, leaving a harsh and quite robust, unbalanced, impression. Bottle. Hazy orange to amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma: citrus, cheesecake, sourish dough. Taste: citrus, grape, sweet, toffee, fruit, medium-bitter. Medium-bodied. All right, but nothing spectacular.

Bottle 0.33 l. Russet, hazy, hardly any head. Aroma of blackberries, grapefruit, raspberries, raisins. First thing that hits you are an unpleasant yeasty taste. After that, however, one can appreciate the rich body and hoppy character. Carbonation was weak but not in a disturbing way.
