3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Veer (362) - Landskrona, SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2009
On tap at Maddes.
Aroma: juniper, grapefruit, slightly acrid. Less foresty than the flavour... pine.
Flavour: very bitter, juniper... astringent, aluminium... funky, acrid, metallic again. Roasted nice malts, somehow mild considering the bitterness. Very interesting, caramel & slight sweetness. Vanilla. Definitely complex for being so ’weak’.
Appearance: huge frothy head. Like a float. Yellowish dark amber body. Slightly turbid.
Palate: nearly flat, thick, smooth.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 gyllenbock (2958) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2009
Bottle.
Reddish-brown liquid that was a bit cloudy, large white foam.
The beer smelled not a lot of citrus as one would expect, nah it was more sweet.
Citrus tones, caramel, nuts, apple in flavor. The body was medium, aftertaste did not last for a long time. Easy to drink and pretty good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Rune (6120) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2009
330ml bottle at Tegners Gömställe where it was served in a tulip glass at the very right drinking temperature. The body colour was hazy, orange-amber topped by a fading, lacing head. Aroma of mid-sweet malts with hops beneath. Flavour of caramel malts balanced by tingling piny hops, gradually developing into a dry bitter ending. Soft in the mouth. Tasty and refreshing ipa (Stockholm, 03.09.2009).

It poured a hazy orange liquid with a light orange foam. Strong smell of grassy hops, pine, citrus and grape. High bitterness, grape, citrus, grassy hops. Fresh and lots of hops, I liked it.

Nyanserad med en viltblomstrande smak, knoppande i alla riktningar, och beskuren av en skarpslipad beska som dessvärre är alldeles för toppridande och "förtryckande", dominerande smakbilden.

Apperance: Hazy orange-redish with big airy foam that sticks to the glas.
Aroma: Some hops, Caramel, Citric notes (Grapefruit dominating).
Flavor: Citric notes, Hint of caramel, Flowers, Hint of fruit.
Palate: Carbonation is medium with tiny bubbles. Bitterness dominates from beginning to end with just a hint of malt to balance it out. A bit unbalanced but quite refreshing.
This is a good effort at an american-style IPA. Very drinkable even though the ibu’s are kicking ass in this one. Tasty!
