3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 thebeertourist (4271) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2008
On tap at Bishops Arms, Stockholm. A beautiful pour gave a huge, creamy yellowish head on top of the red copper beer. Milk chocolate aroma as well as fruit. In fact, very bitter, but still ending with dry chocolate flavours. Fruity hops. A bit too thin body for all the rich flavours. A magnificent beer it is. Original, too.

Golden color, a bitter scent and a bitter taste.
Hantverksbryggeriet has found the balance from the American hops and the malt. 9/5/9/5/17=4.5
Rerate Draught at Bishops Arms, Malmö, Friday September 12 Hazy copper color, fluffy tan head. Fresh bitter, herbal hoppy taste with sweet caramel malty notes as well. Fresh hoppy delicious scent. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Wasn’tsure this did belong among my top beers, but now I am sure once more. 9/4/9/4/18=4.4
Tried again, though not with notes.(Bottled at SMÖF-08) October 25, 2008 Pushing looks to 5, it was sure beautiful!
Rerate 33 cl bottle at home on August 21, 2009 BB Dec 2009, from Systembolaget i Västerås. Slight bit hazy copper color, big fluffy orange head. Fresh hoppy scent, herbal, carmelly malty. Hoppy, bitter, dry malty taste. Bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness. I’m sorry to say though still nice, the quality of all the HVB beers seems to have dropped, so this is dropped from my top 10 :( 9/4/7/3/16=3.9

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2010 2010-02-18, draught at Nya Tröls, Malmö, 6-4-7-4-14=35 Golden color, big head. Aroma of yeast and the hop cupboard, it smells like a brewery at work. Toffee-styled Golden ale, spiced and robustly hopped, no thrills.
2007-09-22, draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007, 7-5-7-4-15=39 Beautiful hazy copper color; big creamy head. Nice hop aroma, delicate, earthy, with light fruits and resins. Mellow flavor, malty, sweet toffee, with good hopping, very well aromatic, a bit fruity and resiny. Long and strong final. Very well brewed and pleasant.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Veer (362) - Landskrona, SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2009
On tap at Maddes.
Aroma: juniper, grapefruit, slightly acrid. Less foresty than the flavour... pine.
Flavour: very bitter, juniper... astringent, aluminium... funky, acrid, metallic again. Roasted nice malts, somehow mild considering the bitterness. Very interesting, caramel & slight sweetness. Vanilla. Definitely complex for being so ’weak’.
Appearance: huge frothy head. Like a float. Yellowish dark amber body. Slightly turbid.
Palate: nearly flat, thick, smooth.
