Västeråsbryggeri lanserar folköl - Bonden

Hantverksbryggeriet lanserar en folköl vid namn "Bonden". Ölet kommer att lanseras i samband med öppningen av Västerås Saluhall fredag den 22 augusti. Många har efterfrågat var man kan köpa bryggeriets öl och då produkterna ännu inte finns på Systembolaget är lansering av ett folköl ett utmärkt sätt att nå ut till fler.

Ölet är framtaget i samarbete med hembryggaren Gun Sävhammar från Västerås vars recept har anpassats till Hantverksbryggeriets bryggverk. Det är i grunden en öl baserad på en brittisk öltyp som kallas "English Mild Ale". Bonden är ett smakrikt och friskt inslag bland de svenska folkölen. Stark som en folköl - smak som en starköl. Ölet är en ljus och maltig ale med en fin restsötma med toner av honung som balanseras av en behaglig efterbeska. Bonden serveras gärna lite varmare, ca 14-15 grader, för en större smakupplevelse.

Folkölet finns både på 33 cl flaska och på 30-litersfat.

Draught at Stockholm Beer and Whisky 2009. Cloudy amber coloured with a small white head. Malty aroma of grass and hops. Malty flavour of swedish flatbread, grass and hops with notes of grape fruits. Dry hoppy finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel, wooden and also slightly vegetably notes. Flavour is fruits, wood and some mild notes of herbs. Pleasantly balanced low alcohol beer.

A bit hazy yellow color, small white head. A bit grapefruity and papery aroma. Apple, some diacetyl and cooked vegetables in the fruity, sweet malty flavor.

Draught at Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival 2009. Copper color. Sweet herbal and spicy aroma. Malty honeyish and herbal flavor. There is a dull masking herbal note in the aroma and flavor.

Bottle at SBWF 2009. Yellow color, white head. Fruity aroma, apricot and apple notes, grainy, some citrus. Hoppy grassy flavor, floral notes and some spices. Well balanced and a very classy low alcohol beer.

courtesy of, and shared with Gnoff. pours golden, hin white head. Aroma is sweet, hoppy with some malts. Taste, malty, with light grassy hops palate adding some citrus mouthfeel. Bittersweet finish. 3.5% this is one tasty beer.

Bottle, 35 cl, thanks deft. Clear pale golden, tiny white head. Grainy, dusty, potatoeish, malt aroma, with some citric hops. Light in body, soft carbonation. Well balanced with a dry and moderately bitter finish.
