Draft at Churchkey. My first beer from this brewery, which has a lot of letters in its name. Dark brown color, small brown head. Aroma of chocolate and peppermint. taste is smooth and balanced. Decent stuff.

bottle: this is the second bottle of swedish dark beer that I had tonight that smells infected... like old fruit, grass and detergent. Still not bad taste though. roasty malts, chocolate and espresso. some molasses. sweet malts.

330ml Bottle: Aroma of malt, cocoa, and slight lactose. Poured very dark brown in color with a small, creamy, dense, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Opaque. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, roasting, chocolate, and slight hops. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, chocolate, and roast finish is dry. 7.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

33 cl bottle from Capone’s. Pours dark brownish black with a 1-finger tan, creamy head. Nose is rich black patent malt, cacao, molasses, hazelnut. Tastes malty, very smooth, with cacao, dark chocolate syrup, very hazelnutty and walnutty, with backup hops, and some charred hints late. Well balanced, good complexity, and overall a wonderfully delicious beer. This one is as criminally underrated as Jack the Ripper.
