4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
33 cl bottle from Capone’s. Pours dark brownish black with a 1-finger tan, creamy head. Nose is rich black patent malt, cacao, molasses, hazelnut. Tastes malty, very smooth, with cacao, dark chocolate syrup, very hazelnutty and walnutty, with backup hops, and some charred hints late. Well balanced, good complexity, and overall a wonderfully delicious beer. This one is as criminally underrated as Jack the Ripper.
