Clear dark black color with a large, creamy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, creame, apple, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [270908]

33 cL bottle thanks to thewolf/dunkpigen. Pitch black with no head. Aroma is roasted malty with a mild spice note and a mild smoke accent. Flavour is smoked and hardroasted malt with a distinct dark fruity note coming through. Mild yeasty touch into the finish. Smooth yet with a little bite.

At Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A black beer with a red shine under a lazing orange-brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of elderberries, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hard roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate, the hard roasted malt giving it a slight acidity, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Draught. Black opaque colour, small brown head. Aroma is caramel, roasted malts, bready and chocolateish. Flavour is very smooth coffee and milk along with roasted malts, alcohol and caramel. Wellbalanced and totally kickass! One of my definitive favourites at the SBWF 2006.

[Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival] Black, rich beige head. Strong chocolate aroma. Very soft and with light bodied for an imperial stout. The restrained sweetenss along with the slim body and soft mouthfeel leaves plenty of room for the chocolatey flavours. Like a bigger milk stout. Light notes of licorice and grassy hops show up towards the finish. The best new Swedish beer I sampled at the festival.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007
Dark mahogany color. This one as well has a light aroma, with roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol, very light tobacco leaves and vanilla. Good body strength, round body, with a quite sweet caramel flavor, with notes of chocolate and roasted malt; the alcohol warms the mouth more than expected. The final is well balanced with all the flavor mix, and rhubarb candies, but gets thinner than the front. Very good.

bottle at post De Molen ... no room in my bag breakfast beer... big solid black ... bubbly tan head ... big licorice ... sweet cherry roast malt nose ... big toffee ... roast malts ... light sweetness ... caramle malts ... little licorice ... little sticky ... decent.
