Ungstrup (11148), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2007 At Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A black beer with a red shine under a lazing orange-brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of elderberries, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hard roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate, the hard roasted malt giving it a slight acidity, leading to a dry bitter finish. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 29, 2006 [Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival] Black, rich beige head. Strong chocolate aroma. Very soft and with light bodied for an imperial stout. The restrained sweetenss along with the slim body and soft mouthfeel leaves plenty of room for the chocolatey flavours. Like a bigger milk stout. Light notes of licorice and grassy hops show up towards the finish. The best new Swedish beer I sampled at the festival. yespr (6400), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 5, 2008 33 cL bottle thanks to thewolf/dunkpigen. Pitch black with no head. Aroma is roasted malty with a mild spice note and a mild smoke accent. Flavour is smoked and hardroasted malt with a distinct dark fruity note coming through. Mild yeasty touch into the finish. Smooth yet with a little bite. joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 1, 2006 Draught at Stockholm Beerfestival.
