lagomswedish (206), Umeå, Sweden May 15, 2008 Draft at Bishops Arms Västerås. Other than the fact that the beer was (as usual) served alarmingly cold - requiring me to sit there looking like an escapee from the local loony bin ’praying’ with the glass in my hands for a good 20 minutes - this has all the standard characteristics of a stout. Sweet stouts however are not my favourite expression of this syle - the lactic flavours make me suspicious that someone has slipped one of those cheap coffee creamers you get at hotels or on aeroplanes into my beer.
