Great Friends, Great Beer.
Hap Motlow, of the legendary Jack Daniel family from Lynchburg, TN used to tell his friend Harry Lipman "just alike Jack Daniels, a great beer starts with the best ingredients. good water, choice grains, and high grade yeast...brewed with integrity" As the first distributor of Jack Daniels after the repeal of prohibition, Harry passed this lesson down through generations of Lipmans, who remain in the industry to this day. Hap & Harry’s honors the friendship these two men shared over a half a century ago. Cheers to great friends and great beer!

Got bottled at Kroger’s on Broadway. Piss yellow. Small, fast head. Aroma: Corn grains. Flavor: Corn grains. Tastes like a a macro-brew. It really cashes in on its link to Jack Daniels and Jack must be rolling in his grave. "We ain’t claiming this swill!"

Bottle. Sour milk, lemon, corn/barley malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Mildly sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Decent body. A pretty good pale lager.

Bottle pour, small head. Aroma and taste are classic Vienna lager. They did a nice job with this beer. It has a really good taste and is worth trying if you get the chance.

Pours a clear yellow with no head/lacing. Slightly sweet ceral aroma. The taste is fairly thin and watery but with a hint of tartness. Smooth but not overly crisp or tart. More meh than anything.

Basic yellow fizzy stuff. No aroma as well, a tad watery. Basic taste, not horrible but its a drainpour after 2 small swallows.

Bland aroma, light yellow pour. Flavor is comparable to natty ice or Milwaukees best. Smooth, but not refreshing, just dry.

Bottle at Nashville Gala chosen only because it was a new rating. Average across the board which isn't that bad for a pale lager. Just drink it cool because warmth does this no favors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

wedgie9 (2612) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 5, 2015
Tasted on 12/22/11 on draft at the Yazoo Brewpub. Pours pale yellow with a hint of bronze, and a thick, smooth white head that slowly recedes to an even blanket of lace. The nose is light cereal and corny malt with a hint of hay and some spicy hops. The flavor is just as light with cereal, some sweet corn, and lightly bitter, spicy hops. The body is light with average, stinging carbonation, and a short lightly bitter and spicy hops finish.
