Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, day 2 on 1 December 2010. Gold in colour. Not much condition. There’s a good, sharp citrus feel but there are other things going on that I found tough to pin down. A bit acidic with some clammy, moist malts and something a bit vegetal. I found it palatable enough, if a trifle odd.

Cask (gravity) @ 27th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2010, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England

Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, plastic, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, plastic, paint stripper. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20101201]

Pigs Ear Fest! Gold beer, no real head. Dry palate. . Minerally orange hop and something like orange sherbet and a big dollop of paintstripper. Foul!

Cask at the Pig’s Ear BF 2010. Clear gold pour with a light film. Salty, sweaty, dank aroma. Armpits? Pringles? Weird flavor, too: floral, meaty, lightly sugary. Body is light, as is the carbonation. More of the odd floral and salty meat in the finish. Just odd...

From cask at William IV. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and roasted malt. Fruity, mild and acidic and citric flavoured. Apples. Light malt base. Citric and bitter finish.
