COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HAPKIN has a very good fresh, flowery, Saaz hop aroma, a very big creamy head, a soft malt character, and a spritzy, perfumy fruitness drying toward the finish.

Note: Initially from Brouwerij Louwaege, from 2001 to 2007 brewed in Jumet, afterwards in Alken.

Bottle. A golden color with a big foamy white head. A strong spice and flowery aroma. A little dry, zesty, citrus, spicy and warm.

Golden blond colour. Duvel-aroma, but yet a little honey-aroma. The flavour is slighty bitter, slightly malty, also sparkles of fruit-flavours.

This golden ale pours a golden yellow with lots of yeast particles and a big, lingering white head. It has a yeasty aroma with hints of citrus fruits and saaz hops. Medium body with lively carbonation, the flavor is lightly malty with some nice, fruity yeast and hop notes. The finish is slightly hoppy and dry with a mild fruitiness. A very nice Belgian golden ale.

Gold color with a huge creamy white head. A crisp citrus soapy aroma with a note of skunk, some yeast. I may get ripped for this but aside from the high ABV this taste like a Euro pils or a Canadian beer, worse even since the skunk comes out in the flavor as this warms up.

Golden color with excellent malty sweet aroma. Taste was malty, sweet with hints of citrus. Hops present in aroma and flavor.

Damned shame about this brewery. What a fantastic beer, so well built with tremendous hop character, dry fruitiness, and alcoholic warmth. Damned fine.

To start a big creamy head that slowly diminishes into a beautiful golden color with bubbly, possibly yeast like bits floating throughout. Dry, yeasty flavor and slightly fizzy with a long smooth finish.

Ahh, what can I say? This is a marvelous Belgian Strong. My favorite. Dare I say that I prefer it to the vaunted Duvel? To me, it is perfection, but, the beauty is to each his/her own, eh?

If there is such a thing as a session belgian strong ale, this would be it. Very very smooth, refreshing and I'm wondering how it could possibly have this high of an ABV. Highly carbonated and foamy. Not too citrusy or dry.

A nice golden champagne color with a few lasers of orange shooting through, not afraid to give some head either. Yeasty, slightly fruit driven aroma. Tastes much the same, Decent brew.
