COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HAPKIN has a very good fresh, flowery, Saaz hop aroma, a very big creamy head, a soft malt character, and a spritzy, perfumy fruitness drying toward the finish.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Pale malts, citrus fruits, some alcohol, white sugar, a little yeast and hints of acetone in the aroma. The flavor is a tad better and clear, with fruits, citrus, spices, white sugar and grains. Some alcohol, and a fine bitterness in the finish. Warming, medium to full body, quite dry and effervescent. Overall, a decent beer, but too hot I think. 090925

From BA (11 Feb 2007) 33cl brown bottle: Poured into a Duvel glass, it looked the part, a little lighter than Duvel, but very simular with its huge white head. Golden clear, until I added the sediment towards the end. Wheaty smell, summer flowers and hops also, but nothing strong. 8.5%, but no great flavour or taste to it, even after I had added the bottom of the bottle in. A flowery, almost sweet feel to it, the sweetness hangs around, but nothing comes and bites you with this beer. Not a bad blond, but not up with the best either, if I ever see it on tap, I’ll give it another go, otherwise, I will not be buying it again.

A very decent belgian strong with characteristics of a blonde. Tastes of alcohol, citrus, with some floral notes. Also a bit of wheat.

This Belgian blonde has a very grainy/ wheaty aroma and pours bright yellow with a extremely carbonated head. It tastes crisp with a lingering flavor to the back of your mouth.

Poured a lovely clear gold into a fluted glass. Nearly four full fingers of bubbly head, retreating slowly. Spotty lacing left on the glass. Very little detectable nose - perhaps slight hints of citrus. Quite crisp on first taste, with mildly floral hoppiness taking over quickly. Seems a fairly generic blonde, with a single hop flavor dominating. Does do a pretty decent job hiding the significant alcohol content, which only manifests at the very end of a sip with a burn on the back of the tongue. As it warmed, an unpleasant, almost soapy flavor took over.
