Bottle (330ml). Poured hazy golden orange with a large rocky, white head which was average lasting. A musty aroma with notes of pears, green grapes, wholegrain bread, over ripe peaches and cinnamon. A very light bitterness with ripe pears and apples; green grapes, apricots (ripe also), bready malts, hints of cloves and cinnamon with a light herbal/vegetable note in the finish (possibly carrot). Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel, thin texture and a average length finish. This “vintage” ale is actually the Happy Goblin “pale ale” vintaged for a year+, quite pleasant all the same.
