3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Very mild nutty malt aroma and just a hint of spice. Coppery-brown clear with thin head. Medium body with medium-light carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor, like sweet amber ale with nutty undertones. Medium hop bitterness with a bit of spicy character. Mild warming, no huge flavors but well balanced. Light apple wood astringency in the after.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown color with a large foamy beige head that left great lacing. The aroma was wood, nut, fig and had a medicinal almost band aid presence. The flavor was dryish with fig, nut, an herbal presence, spruce and again a medicinal band aid note. Long finish of spice, fig and medicine. Moderately full bodied. Very odd.
