2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Official NBA beer, hmmm!!
Sparkling yellow gold with little residual carbonation after a vigorous pour. Nose has hints of musty, stale hops, damp cardboard and sweet cereal grains, faint and almost distant. Frothy in mouthfeel, dry and moderately bitter in the rear before a crisp, clean finish. Grassy hops, starchy sweet front, dull, sandy and grainy malt mid-palate pretty much sums it up. Good thirst quencher when chilled. Not bad! (33cL can, BB 12/01/13, vending machine @ Kai Yuan Men Shopping Mall, Bell Tower, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China)

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can shared at The Kernel during my birthday celebration, London, thanks to Paul. Pours a very, very pale yellow with a faint, foamy white head. Cereal and light cardboard make up the aroma. Flavor is lightly sweet with some more cereal, light lemon and dough. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish, more cereal and dough. Very light. OK.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Can 33 cl. Courtesy of my cousin Martin. Pours a clear very pale yellow with a small white head. A tiny, tiny whiff of malts in the nose - but pretty close to water really. Very thin and watery, a little sweet....rice?? There’s hardly anything here. And absolutely no hops either. 030511
