Green 600 ml bottle: Not much to go on aroma or taste-wise, it’s all so faint. Bright golden yellow body with a creamy white head. The aroma is corn, a trace of sweet malt, and some grass and flowers. The flavor is very light, malt with corn and some grass. Kind of an earthy finish to it.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2006 Dark gold body with a bright white head. The aroma has some fresh soy beans and flowers. There is a hint of green bell pepper. The taste has some light glazed donuts with some carrots and grass. This has some strong vegetable character with a little bit of dirt. Nothing offensive, but very bland.

Bottle. Pours thin gold with little head. Aroma is corn flakes. Flavor is sour grass with hop bits. Palate is average. I wasn’t expecting much, and I got it.

Clean lager. Very little flavor. Easy to drink, but nothing special. Just a standard larger IMO.

Enjoyed at a wedding party hosted by an Anheuser-Busch distributor in Mississippi. Hank hooked me up with a 16 oz bottle. Golden-straw pour with big carbonation. Standard light lager aroma. Easy grain flavors with hints of spicy hops and a relatively clean finish. Nothing exciting, but clean with no particularly off flavors. Very wet. While this was nothing I would ever buy, my drunken taste buds did not have a problem drinking a glass of this. Besides, this was probably the most unique brew available in Mississippi. You make due with what you’ve got.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2006 [Bottled] Pale golden, brief head. Light rice aroma. Distinct boiled vegetable flavour. Sweet, thin and extremely metallic with mellow mouthfeel..Rusty water finish. At least it’s somewhat soft.

Bottled. Pale golden with rich head. A clean lager with decently firm and soft mouthfeel and low bitterness. Some citric acid up front annoys.

330ml can-pours a foamy white head that reduces to thin. Color is yellow. Aroma is sweet, grain. Taste follows. Fairly standard for the region. Dated 6/23.

Bottled. A very pale lager with a sweet smell and taste. Not the worse lager ever but still quite boring

The best 'looking' beer I've seen from china (still quite a few to go). Harbin unfortunately is also the best tasting beer I've had in China. It's flavor is week and tries to make up for it with a slightly higher carbonation level than other chinese beers I've tasted (kingway, tsing tao) It's a beer that could (should?) have been good seeing it's german heratige. - (german settlers in china started breweries in harbin because of it's good water quality - at the time)). Chinese food almost demands a lager or pilsner (especially souther chinese and some of the more spicy shanghainese) and unfortunately the two major players for this title; Tsing Tao, and Harbin, just fall short of the mark. Hite (korean) is closer.

Note: If you can get this in the bottle instead of can it is a much better beer.
