UPDATED: JUL 27, 2006 [Bottled] Pale golden, brief head. Light rice aroma. Distinct boiled vegetable flavour. Sweet, thin and extremely metallic with mellow mouthfeel..Rusty water finish. At least it’s somewhat soft.

Bottled. Pale golden with rich head. A clean lager with decently firm and soft mouthfeel and low bitterness. Some citric acid up front annoys.

Ha! Call it Harbin, brew it in Wuhan. Inspired by the culture of Heilongjiang...yes I can taste the ice and snow sculpture festival right now. I can see it in the dull yellow colour and smell it in the generic eurohop nose. Sweetish, clean with saazy accents and straw malts. Way too much flavour to be inspired by Chinese brewing culture.

Bottle, as Harbin Lager. It’s a clear, golden beer with a small white head. Fruity nose with some hops. A chemical whiff too. Pretty uninteresting flavor, low on both malts and hops, but far from awful. Fruits and hints of bittering hops both initially and in the end. Medium to thin on the palate. A drinkable one, but definately not a favorite. 091223

Aroma of very light malt and noticable carbonation. Pale gold with a decent tiny bubble white head. Other than carbonation and a very light malty sweetness, there’s not much here. The folks at A-B have got to be proud.

Bottle... Clear yellow lager with a large, frothy, white head. Decent retention. Herbal, spicy hop aroma with some subtle biscuity malt. Perfectly balanced flavor, much like seltzer water. Unoffensive. Almost medium-bodied with a spritzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp, clean finish. Thanks to Mark at Virginia Touch for providing the bottle!
