Clear golden coloured body with a super-thin white head. Aroma of fresh malt and a tiny bit of hops, coupled with a metallic scent. Medium-bodied; Fresh malt in the taste with a little fruity tang and nuttiness. Aftertaste shows a little more complexity with a bit of alcohol, strong malt and good clear low a.a. hops. Overall, not a horrible beer - much cleaner than Tsingtao, with some decent flavours compared to other chinese beers. I sampled this 600 mL wrapped bottle from Ping/Charlie Chiang’s in Arlington (Shirlington) during the 2008 Opening Ceremony to the Olympics on 08.August.2008.

Actually very nice presentation ( if a little odd with it being wrapped in some fancy clean room hair net thing with a gold bow), and the bottle/label is very cool. 600ml Dark green bottle. Reasonably nice looking lager, deeper yellow than usual with a nice sized bubbly pure white head. Aroma ..ohhhh well, I will leave it at the "hairnet" did not stop this beer from getting skunked bad, only other aroma i pick up is a graininess .\taste while nothing special is better than the aroma, just plain lager here, some fruitiness and a touch of grassy hop. Rather watery palate. After all the money and thought they put into the packaging, i would have liked at least some effrt put into the beer. Not horrible but far from good.

An aroma of stale corn wrapped in wet paper. A nice clear golden pour. An initial sweetness followed by a sourish bitter. A fizzy, thin palate that lends to make this a not so good beer. Not terrible but it’s damn close. If it tasted as good as it looked instead of tasting as bad as it smelled it would be a good beer. Not a pale lager fan but this one just isn’t very good.

20.3 oz green bottle-A clear yellow with a loose two finger head. Aroma of sweetness, citrus, and floral. Taste of nothing but sweetness and corn with a floral finish. Better than expected.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2009 Anaemic, lifeless gold. Halo of white. Sweet, slightly grassy snout. Inoffensive ricewater with a delicately bready/nutty malt ’character’. So slight it’s not even there. Severely lacking in presence or body. Fitting it should be distributed in Europe by the makers of Bud.

Bottle 0.5 l. Pale yellow, corny, hayish hoppy nose. Flavor is very american. Sweet rice/corn flavor with kinda flavorful hops, not exactly bitter tho. Flavorful. Could be worse.

Yellow and kind of dirty lookin but clear. Smells like rice grain and malt. Not a whole lot there other than a slight skunkiness.Tastes of barley and rice and nothing more. I really dont have anything else to add.Clean and kind of crisp which is all the good I can say.
