Harboe Gold 5.9% is the luxury version of an export beer type. Full bodied, smooth and with a special light-golden colour, rounded up with a light breath of hops aroma are the excellent features of this beer. A perfect beer for any occasion. http://harboe-international.com/en/Products/Beer/Harboe Beer/Harboe Gold 5,-d-,9.aspx

Excellent, woody, rich, not watery. sometimes the bottom tastes like alcohol too much, but overall excellent beer.

500ml can BB 18/10/16 Grainy cereal aroma. Poured hazy straw color with light head and ok lacing. The initial taste is a strange chemical one followed by wet cardboard and a thin grainy finish. Little to no bitterness either. Meh.

DWF; Can 0,33l, from Vinmonopolet. Pours moderate, hazy gold, with a fast fading, white head. Nose is shy to moderate, pale malt, grain, grass and light citrus. Taste is medium sweet and bitter with a somewhat lasting, grain, spice finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

330ml can picked up at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Airy white head to a crystal clear golden body, Rings of lace down the glass. Mid-sweet smell of pale malts. Restrained taste profile of pale malts, mild caramel, dried fruits and hints of alcohol. Mid-sweet malty ending. Soft carbonated. Rather tasteless, does not feel like 5.9 % abv. Okay with the food (Tromsø 19.06.2016).

Boks 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Lys gyldenbrun. Brusende skum som daler fort. Lett maltaroma med hint av gress. Smaken metallisk. Litt mais i bunnen. Svakt søtlig etter hvert. Uinteressant øl.

I bought this beer in the supermarket "metro" in Lima. The same eternal and industrial lager, boring. The color is yellow gold with a thin foam and average carbonation. The malt doesn’t exist and the malt is too sweet, not well-balanced and too metalic. At this level, it is better to drink a cusqueña or pilsen callao.

Canned. Clear golden, minimal head. Fruity nose with loads of boiled vegetables. Honey, overripe fruit and vegetable soup. Slight notes of saccharine and chemicals in the finish.

330 ml can bought at Great Food Hall at Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Piss dull pale golden colour; One-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Good sticky lacing with active slight carbonation; Sweet aroma of moderate malt, with very light wet cardboard, grains, syrup, very light floral and very light lemon; Close to light sweet taste of light malt, with faint floral, sugar notes, thin lemon and very light bitter grassy hops; Close to light body. Thin and slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is light malt in thin watery background. No obvious grains or other off-taste. Some faint floral, Sweetness is actually a lot lighter than most macro Pales. Thin lemon end in a whisper. Easy but very so so… Hoppiness is faint floral and thin lemon in nose and taste; Bitterness is very light and barely tastable, essentially thin lemon finish; Wet after taste. Very easy to mouth.

Comments: Slightly papery and syrupy aroma aside, this one is surprisingly drinkable given the inclusion of glucose syrup to jack up the abv. It’s very light sweet by macro standard, plus slightly better body. Lack of hops is a downer, but this is no drain pours. Cheap but easy to down.

Foam poor and almost entirely without carbonation appears the flat and uninviting in the glass. In fact, here I recommend that you drink it straight from the bottle, if you have to drink it. So you avoid at least to look at its surface expression and simultaneously limit to the synthetic aroma of something that should have been buried long time ago. It is very anonymous and tastes disgusting glucose syrup. Indeed, so repulsive that I pour 3/4 of that splashes down where it rightfully belongs, namely in the kitchen sink. While I am left with a horrible taste in my mouth, and I send my deepest condolences to the employees of Harboes, which must tasted and quality ensure this product. The job must then be really well paid for it is hardly the joy of the work that is motivation.
