bboeckl (115), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. A bit of caramelized malt and floral in the nose, reminiscent of a Maibock. Hops are certainly there but not quite as prevalent as I would expect in an IPA. Bit of a bready and malty taste dominates. I would classify this as a Maibock and not an IPA. cblado (80), Wisconsin, USA Jul 7, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a pale, goldenrod color. Decent lacing. Aroma was mostly malty, very little of the pine or citrus flavor I expect from an IPA. Flavor was also very malty, some toffee but hardly any hop flavor. Disappointing. Palate was okay. Overall I have a hard time believing this is an IPA. badbeer (409), Iowa, USA Jul 5, 2008 Pale golden color, small white head, some lacing. Strong malt base, some flowery hops, slightly grassy, a bit of lemon. Kinda different. Plenty of caramel and some biscuit in the flavor, slightly hoppy finish, and I mean slightly. Not a whole lot of flavor, but it did taste alright. Higher carbonation, heavier side of medium bodied. This was an alright beer, not very IPA-ish to me, but still a beer worth drinking. csbosox (971), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Jul 4, 2008 12oz bottle that I have been holding onto for 10-11 months. Served fairly cold in a shaker glass. Aroma is faint floral hops. Flavor is light malt, light floral hops, and a slight bitterness. Pretty mellow beer, not really much of an IPA in any way, shape, or form. Not a lot here. phishpond417 (1420), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 28, 2008 Pours a copper colour in body with a moderately sized floral head. Lightly hopped, the roasted malts in the body is a little more obvious. Soft citrus fruit throughout the beer.
