Bottle. Pours a deep bubbly orange-hued golden body with a large cloudy off-white head. Nose is red berries, straw, grass, pine, herbs and hints of pepper, artificial candy notes, dry leaves and melon. Taste is grass, caramel, toffee, pepper, brown bread and hints of dry leaves, herbs and straw. Medium to light body, medium carbonation. Very earthy, with little of the fruitiness I desire in an IPA. Fair enough, but not a nudge more.

From bottle on board Fridtjofen 17.07.15. Clear, pale orange. Foamy off-white head and lacing. Persisten lacing, but diminishing head. Moderate aroma, with some citrus and tropical fruits. Similar taste, with slightly unfresh citrusy bitterness. Decent drinkability, but there’s something about it that is not entirely positive. Earth, metal, sulphur?

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. BB May 2016, 5.2%. Slightly hazy, dark orange, highly sparkling, small dense creamy head. Aroma is straw, grassy, tangerine, and pine. Nice hoppy character. Body is medium, slightly foamy, tingly carbonation. Taste is pine, car air freshener, straw, grapefruit, orange pith, grassy bitterness. For a supermarket purchase, this is pretty, pretty good.

On tap @Mad For Beer (Rome). Pours deep golden with a medium white head that rapidly disappears. Aroma is tropical fruits and citrus,a bit dull, also some vegetables. Flavour is light bitter, malt, some hops, dull and messy, probably not so fresh. Medium to light body, higher than expected, medium carbonation. Not a good experience.
