Can from Booths, Media City. Golden-amber in colour with next to no head, just a few bubbles. European in style and texture, crisp enough, but nothing about it that stands out.

Keg tap at CBC Brixton. Light to mid-gold with a tiny white ring of head. Precious little aroma, and what there is smells, well, a bit boring: cereal, plywood and cardboard. The taste is better: sweet and grainy with a gentle bitterness at the end. Nicely carbonated. Aftertaste is a tad cardboardy, otherwise a pleasant finish. Never going to be my favourite beer style but this is an enjoyable drink.

Can, 5%. Lagery aroma. Clear golden colour. Small white head. The flavour has a spicy hop note, Saaz I guess. Rough bitterness. On the whole a decent beer.

33cl bb06/2016, ta idiosynkrasie for so broadly filling me in on the UK scene. Coarse grain husks in aroma, going on damp resinous grasses. Drinks with a grass/hay-forward bitterness as well, clean but with a coarse edge. All in all well done, although its coarseness makes me appreciate the smooth pilsner engineering of regional DE brewing culture.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Norway, on otrder. Clear golden color, good foam. Low aroma intensity; malt, some fruitiness and light hops. Light body & complexity. Good bitterness and balance. Crisp and pretty ok pilsner

Backlog rating. Keg at CBC Covent Garden, London. It pours a clean pale yellow color with small white head. Aroma is crispy grains light bread and not much else. Taste is medium bitter and dry with more grains and bread. Light bodied with sparkling carbonation. Overall, not my cup of tea

Can from The Beerhive. Clear golden with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grain, boiled vegetables and paper. Flavour of earth, herbs and a light bitterness. Thin body with an oily texture. Virtually no fizz. A bit flabby.
