Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 21st December 2014. Almost black with tan ring-and-film and scant lacing. Intense roasty aroma with a rich coffee note. Bottled, 330ml from Sainsbury’s in Banbury. Black with cream head. Initially a fairly tangy, prickly beer, fruity, fullish on the palate. From there a fruity sweetness shows through, some caramel, milky chocolate. A pretty decent beer.
