[cask at the Hanging Bat, Edinburgh] Slightly hazy dark amber pour, with a large white head. The aroma is toasty, bready – even a bit rye-esque. Taste-wise, it’s nicely bitter, with some red fruits in amongst the bran fibre and toast flavours. Finishes dry and slightly woody. Nice enough [22012013]

copper brown, clear, bubbly white head, not much lacing
Aroma - very light hops, slight malt, little on the nose
Taste - soft bitter hops, soft fruity malt, touch of caramel malt, slight grassy hops, hint of citrus, soft, easy, underflavoured for the abv
Palate - Thin to medium body, bit oily, smooth texture. Finish - soft bitter malt finish that fades, cleans well of palate
Overall - Alright but expect a bit more for 5%
