2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours pale amber with a large lasting head and nice lacing.
Nose shows hints of apples and pears, with some light sweet malt underneath. Unfortunately there’s also a cidery character. Rather light on.
Malt dominates the flavours, there’s a bit of biscuity malt in there. Rather sweet, a bit cloying. Finished with a weak metallic bitterness. Vaguely pale lager-ish, but more malt.
Carbonation is over the top.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a translucent golden amber colour with virtually no head. Low to medium carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt, adding sourish fruit as it warmed. Taste initially of slightly sweet malt followed by tartness and a hops bitterness to finish it off. After-taste became slightly sourish as it warmed. Light body. Smooth short hops bitterness finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Soft white head atop a good orange amber full body. Citrus and floral aromas and well flavoured with a little bitterness and a sweet backdrop. First beer from this brewery has left a good impression.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a 330ml bottle on 7/11/2010. Pours golden and cloudy, with almost no head. Has muted nose of stone fruits. There’s a bit more fruit in the mouth, followed by quite an intense, bordering on sour, hop finish. Definitely improves as it warms. Quite interesting, though doesn’t quite hit the bullseye.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle that presumably references local "escaped panther" legend. Slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Pear, peach and grain aroma with some detergent. Taste has some citrus too. Fruit and sugary malt with decent drying bitterness that lingers. Respectable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. As "Sightings APA". Hazy golden amber pour with a loose, short-lived white head. Aroma is quite mild, slight fruity hoppy notes with citrus, caramel and honey. Flavour mirrors the aroma with a little sweetness and substantial bitterness. Thin, watery, dry mouthfeel with moderate carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Nothing offensive but nothing special either; verging on the boring.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brand spanking new beer from what is actually the Harcourt Valley winery near Bendigo. Not clear whether they brew on site but wouldn’t be surprised if this is a contract job. APA is a predictable enough start but economically sound I guess. Looks part with an apricot orange glow although head retention is weak. Nose shows tropical fruits and a hint of sugar. A bit unsophisticated. Dry dry palate structure with quite ok bitterness, almost a fraction hard, but there’s a distinct of fruit flavour that is needed to balance out the bitterness. A bit home brew like in this respect. Well packaged.
