Feb 22, 2006 Pours a deep ruby/mahogany with a slight fizz, but no head whatsoever. Apple aroma with light vinegar notes. Flavor is crisp apple tartness with a kiss of cherry and a drop of honey. No "wooden" notes... the only evidence of barrel-aging is in its smoothness - it holds light astringence, but its sourness isn’t upsetting.

Jun 2, 2003 Why is this brew rated so low it great stuff.Nice amber color,nearly no head,strong apple aroma.Sweet/sour apple taste that is quite pleasant but i fear will lead to some hard core after effects as many of my fellow raters have posted.Over all i don't think this brew is rated very well i think it deserves a higher place.Hard to say what is the best cider since i'm not an aficciando(spelling problem) but i know what i like and this is a pretty decent cider and worth a decent rate.

does not count  Apr 8, 2003 as ciders go this is definitly one of the more palatable ones.
