3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cunningham (1751) - Halden, NORWAY - NOV 15, 2011
bottle - golden body with a small white head - apple nose with hints of cinnamon - a lot of apple flavour with a well blended sweetness, not like an alcopop but not as dry as a british cider
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 weihenweizen (630) - West Virginia, USA - NOV 9, 2011
Refrigerated bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear golden with extremely little white head. Very little lacing, super smooth texture, medium body. Taste is slightly sweet apple and long slightly dry finish. One of the best ciders I have had.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gnoff (4799) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2011
Bottled at SMÖF 2011. Sampled on October 29, 2011 Clear golden color, small white head. Sweet vinous scent. Sweet, apple, vinous taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bluemooner (422) - Isanti, Minnesota, USA - OCT 17, 2011
Poursa clear, bubbly yellow. Aroma is quite sweet with hints of apples and pears. Flavor is apples, cinnamon, and some other sweet fruits and spices. Not a bad cider overall.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 seymour (603) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 17, 2011
Tasted from bottle into standard pint glass. Poured a clear, thin, straw yellow color of apple juice with almost no foam. Definite apple flavors and aromas. Seemed more tart, less sweet and less carbonated than competing Woodchuck and Woodpecker. I think I prefer this one, but admitedly, they’re all basically apple juice fermented by champagne yeast. Few of beer’s differentiating aspects exist here: color, body, head retention, grain diversity, yeast/fermentation profile, etc. Oh well, if you like hard cider, you’ll like this one. Tasty and refreshing.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 irst (1) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 16, 2011 does not count
I found this to be a perfect alternative to a traditional german beer, its aroma, light taste carbonation and lack of a head made it so easy to drink I had to be careful not to have too many (I was driving) much better than any other hard cider Ive had no bitter taste no complaints here
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 GT2 (3414) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Tap at Down the Hatch in NYC. The pour is a clear gold with no head formation. Nose is kid’s apple juice box. Taste is similar- sugary and red apple heavy with a sweetened presence. A little bit of a urea twang on the nose but not so bad. In general, cider for people who can’t stand any sourness or funkiness. Or even effervescence.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tronraner (2428) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - SEP 5, 2011
12 oz bottle. Pours clean gold with tiny white head. The aroma is bland, weak apple with a hint of wooden sweetness. The flavor is acidic and crisp (as promised), but fairly weak on the apple front. The finish is kinda like tap water, but at least has that acidic crispness. Not terrible, but not great.
