2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 thepeter (274) - London, Greater London, - SEP 6, 2012On cask at the White horse, poured a dark golden color with small head and some lacing. Smells of slight pine, wood, tropical fruit juice, but none of this is all that potent, a bit subdued and not to the beer’s credit. Taste is simialr with the addition of cereal graininess that kind of "Blanded" it down for me. Palate is medium, beer was decent and refreshing, nothing to write home about.

Yawning a little. Not sure what to say. At the Vic. Don’t get the Vic. Didn’t know whether to focus on beer, talk or dance, so did all 3 very badly.

Ottima bitter molto beverina, lascia la bocca piacevolmente secca con un amaro mediamente lungo ma non invadente!

Pint at the Rake.
S: Amber colour, hazy, small off white head, didn’t look very lively.
A: Hints of cranberry and malt but not overly prominent.
T: Some slightly off fruit, more malty than hoppy, seemed stronger than the 4.0%.
M: Sticky, not much carbonation.
O: Nothing wrong but slightly bland and easy to forget.

Cask at the Victoria, Brum. Light ginger colour, loose fluffy lacing. Delicious, light, fruity Bitter. The hops are a fresh blend of sunshine and UK-ness, with a backdrop of grass mulch. Delish.

330ml bottle. Clear copper with a small head. Good uncomplicated hoppy aroma. Flavours of citrus peel, a little yeast, moderate malt and plenty of hops. Has an intense bitter finish. Well balanced and very nice.

Bottle from Tomlinson’s Beer Shop, Inverness [130213]
Golden amber, slight haze, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of citrus hops, soft pale malts, soft lemon
Taste of citrus hops, bit of orange zest, some bittering hops, soft cereals, nice zesty hop, soft pale malts, nicely balanced, good flavour for the abv
Palate - soft carb, bit oily texture, quite smooth. Finish as main flavour with some lingering zesty cereal bitterness
Overall - Good flavour for the abv, good for a lowish abv bottled beer - must try this on cask. 330 ml was not enough...

Bionda con poca schiuma. Aroma luppolato, molto agrumato e fresco. Al palato ingresso dolce con una luppolatura finale molto persistente. Lascia la bocca secca. Molto beverina e rinfrescante. Mi è piaciuta.

What is this yellow beer under the same name everyone else is reviewing? Nothing yellow about this - it’s a proper bitter! Bottle from the brewery as part of a larger case testing the new bottling line. Only criticism stems from the fact it seems to be taken off the yeast a bit early - touch of diacetyl in the nose. Good appearance, taste and finish though.
