3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Brewtique, Macclesfield. Poured a murky purple brown amber with a thick yellowed off white head. Aroma is hops, spice, cleaning fluid, tobacco, wood. Flavour is caramel, quite sweet. Not bad but not great.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours ruby red. Has a small fleeting white head. Nose is very acidic orange, citrus, malt, some herbal and earthy notes.
Toffee malt is prevalent in taste. There’s some resin and a hint of berries but they are very subtle, mostly earthy hop. All take a back seat to this slightly unpleasant menthol quality that scythes through flavor and also provides the flavor in the moderate bitterness finish.
Not well balanced. Hop-flavor muddled. Ok

Nice strong IPA! Very hoppy, which I quite like and packs a bit if a punch!
Lovely aroma, and nice deep ruby red colour.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 6.2% on clearance from Sainsburys. Pours a very dark ruby colour with an explosive creamy head that takes over the glass no matter how gently you pour it! Very malty aftertaste but not unpleasant.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle. BB 09/215. Mahogany color, thick, foamy head. Toffeeish, yeasty aroma, floral and slightly fruity hoppy. Flavor has toffee, nutty notes, yeast, slight tartness here as well. Bitter hops, very malty stuff. Heavy and musty. High carbonation. Not sure what to think of this one. Not very refreshing, nor are the hops presenting itself in any good way either.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg in the Pleased to Meet You in Newcastle. Poured a slightly murky ruby with a slight white head. Quite fruity at first before a very bitter finish. I love a big bitter IPA, but the finish on this on was bitter in a slightly unpleasant way.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. It pours a huge, semi-rocky light beige head over a clear, amber colored body. The aroma has a faint puke-like caramel maltyness, with resiny hops and citrus notes. It’s medium to full-bodied with, strangely enough, some warmth. Pleasant carbonation. The flavor has some caramel maltyness, a little sweetness and a balancing bitterness. Pine cones and some resins. Lasting finish with a little bitterness the most evident. A decent one, but far, far from impressive. 140315
