Fruity, hoppy aromas lead to a well-balanced middle with hops increasing in the finish.

Cask at Hardknott on Track, Millom. Light yellow, very lightly carbonated with some lacing. Light citrus/floral aroma, inconsequential but certainly pleasant. Taste is mostly bitter, with a notable floral sweetness later on. Finish is notably bug not sharply bitter. A good beer but everything is a trifle muted. Tastes less strong than 3.8%. Too gentle to be great, but it’s a good place to start.

Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Festival ’15. Gold with white head. There is a crisp, biscuity malt body to this carrying a hoppy, citric hop flavour. Zesty and easy on the palate. A pretty decent beer.

On cask at the Bow Bar. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head and a slight haze. Nose - lemon and floral. Taste - lemon fruit and pith. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - solid if unexciting.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 12th September 2014. Pale gold with thin white head and scant lacing. Yeasty citrus aroma. Fine narrow note of grapefruit citrus in liquid with spices and solid malts. Malty finish with citric tang and rear-mouth bitter echo. A full engaging mouthfeel.

On tap. Grassy aroma, a sharp lemon flavour with a bit of malt and grain. Ckean fresh finish but I can’t pick much of anything up.....

Cask at Knott Bar, Manchester. Clear golden shade with white head. Nice lacing as well. Soft juicy fruits on the nose. Taste is caramel malt, grapefruit hop linger. Elements are subtle and subdued. Nice enough golden ale but a little unremarkable on the whole.

Pale golden, decent lacing from a not so full head. Plain lemon, soft fruits a fuzzy malt aroma. Decent crisp malty, lightest bready bitterness. Decent enough carbonation. Grassy as you like on the finish. Not terrible, not incredible.
