Bottles from Rehills and Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy copper coloured with a sharp bitter orange marmalade flavour, zesty spicy fruitiness and bitter, slightly woody and fruity notes to the finish. Fantastic!

Hazy dark amber. Malts to the fore of this one - big, heavy, thick flavours.

Beautiful amber color, clean, with medium sized compact head. Delicate aroma of caramel, candi sugar and fruits. Strong mouthfeel, with caramel flavor, moderate sweetness, relatively strong bitterness, some hop resins, but also a dusty and earthy final that is a bit hard.
Rough.

Slightly yeasty but well hopped nose with lemon cheesecake notes and that distinctively Belgian tang. The flavour adds more balance with the hops almost beating the aggressive yeast into submission. This is like a conurbation of violent tempers snarling at each other from opposing corners of a room. The finish is long and malty but the overall impression is of someone taking a trappist triple and swearing at it for a few decades until it comes out fighting. That said, I quite like it.

Euston Tap, 16/11/12. Dark, Belgian-styled double IPA. Hazy, light brown. Good, off-white head. Light carb. Aroma is very fruity, funky/yeasty, "Belgian". Taste is sweet, lightly tropical fruit, bit yeasty, distinctively Belgian. Lightly perfumey. Bit banana yeast. Hops are just a light tang in the background, behind complex yeast flavours. Finish is estery fruit, light sweet. Body is mid, sugary, soft. Good, interesting take on a Belgian ale. Hardknott are doing well.

Bottle at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 07/09/12. Hazy dark amber with carbonation evident, thin off-white head. Belgian yeast on the nose allied to toffee and dark sugars. Taste follows, hoppy, some citrus and a little wood. Medium to full in body with a slight alcohol finish.

Bottle from Jacks Westholme Stores, Goring-on Thames, Oxon consumed at Bromyard folk Festival, Bromyard, Herefordshire Saturday 8th September 2012 Hazy orange/amber with slim white head. soft in mouth with a big hit.quite boozy, in fact really boozy, but pretty good. Some citrus, dry, in fact despite an underlying sweetness it is really quite dry. Good but would have been better. Sat on a hay bale at back of The Bay Horse pub whilst watching the excellent Earlsden Morris. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2
