Cask conditioned. Ruby red. Fruity aroma both heavy dark fruits and faint sharp citric notes. Sweet flavour, liqourice like spiciness and a hint of roasted malt. A touch of sourness in the finish. Not in peak condition.

Cask Conditioned at The White Lion, Fewcott, Oxon. Dark blackish beer withruby red hints and perfect white tight head. This is a very hard beer to classify, I've chosen bitter but it could equaly be a mild or even porter. The first taste is of a liquorice note in amongst a deep roasted malt base, lots of fruit with blackcurrant being the most popular choice, but the beer is a glorious mix of flavours all having their moment in time. The flavour then introduces the hops and this makes the beer a bit of a classic, tangy fruity hops intermingle with the heavier base. Beautiful beer.
