2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, 500ml from Sainsbury, Banbury. Amber with white head. Sweetish grainy beer with a cold tea background. Some maltiness with a simple, sweet fruit note. Uninspiring.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Itís copper with a creamy head. Both aroma and flavour has loads of butter acid, caramel and a little fruit. The butter acid and harsh butter is way too strong a note in this one.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn)
6 Simple grainy maly aroma, quite dark.
4- (penalised to 3- for being in a clear glass bottle) Rich reddy orange, persistent tight ring head.
6 Sulfury malty body, the íclassicí Greed Kerching fingerprint. White winey sharpness in places, and very strange hoppy bitterness (again, GK house style)
3 Strangeness continues, weird hops tingle the mouth, and then leave a simple sweet toffee-ish malt. Late finish heads more to consomme, or lamb stock.
11 Something not quite right with this, but nothing so egregious that itís easy to pinpoint. One of the least nasty GK beers out there, itís a shame they have to keep up the pretence that itís not just another Greene King product. I notice no UK rates - why do we get this version and you donít?

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, canít remember from where.
Pours a fine, clear chestnut amber with a small head that is initially frothy, but settles as more creamy. Ligh yellowish off-white. Aroma has caramel malts, light butterscotch, some grassy notes and mild red berries. High carbonation, okay dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit sharp at first, somewhat metallic, dry, caramel, sugary, mild grassy hops. Fair bitterness in the finish. Not all bad.
