On nitro at the brewery. Aromas of coffee beans and fresh barley. Dark ruby with a fully lasting, satiny, beige head. Dry, roasty, somewhat smokey, and with subtle fruit. Light-medium body, very smooth, and finishes clean.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Served on nitro at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. The taste is big chewy roasted malts, chocolate, bitter hops. Medium bodied, creamy texture, refreshing. Nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Visited the brewery on the day they introduced a Sidamo coffee stout. I sampled the new Nitro Irish Stout. The stout poured a deep dark brown with a nice tan head. This is a very smooth stout with the nitrogen creating a creamy texture similar to Guinness. Drier than a guiness though with a soft carbonation. I asked to do a growler but it was not recommended. The nitrogen dissaptes slowly and would be loss over time. This is a beer for watching the playoffs.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled on nitro at the brewery during the Anniversary Release party. Clear dark brown pour with decent khaki head. Roasty with a bit of what I perceived as a lactose bite (though I wouldn’t expect that from a dry stout). Drier than a guiness though, roasty and earthy, and not all that creamy despite being on the nitro. Decent and sessionable though.
