COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with baby ginger from Casselmonte Farm and wildflower honey from Bearer Farms, Hardywood Gingerbread Stout captures the terroir of central Virginia in a rich, creamy libation with a velvety mouthfeel and an intriguing evolution of flavors from milk chocolate and vanilla to honeycomb and cinnamon to a snap of ginger in the finish. Deep, dark chocolate in color with a mahogany tint and a frothy, caramel colored head, Hardywood Gingerbread Stout offers aromatics of holiday spice originating from the ginger, and balanced with a generous dose of whole Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans and Vietnamese cinnamon. Milk sugar (lactose) contributes to the full body of this stout and tames its roasty character, while oats lend a silky quality. Enjoy fresh, or cellar for a special occasion. We hope Hardywood Gingerbread Stout contributes to your merriment this season.

Tap at Barcade Philly.
Appearance: Black body, thick and creamy tan head.
Aroma: Vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate and ginger. Leans sweet with bready gingerbread. Smells wonderful.
Taste: Tastes like a frosted gingerbread cookie with some chocolate backing. Very nice, moderately sweet with an astringent finish.
Palate: Full-bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Damn good stout. Tastes like advertised. Wouldn’t want more than 12 ounces but damn it’s good.

Big bottle into pint glass. Dark brown color with 3 finger tan head. Aroma reeks with notes of gingerbread. Taste is lightly sweet and medium spiced with a touch of bitterness toward finish. Malty. Light carbonation. Medium bodied. Somewhat thick textured. Good winter time or holiday beer.

Bottle, Boise imperial stout tasting. Dark brown with a smaller brown ring. Nose is sweet and spicy; vanilla and ginger snap cookie. Really great gingerbread / ginger snap taste... I love it! This is spot on and exactly what I’d hoped for. Well done, I’d love to get my hands on this again around Christmas.

750mL bottle poured into a tulip -- Opaque brown/black pour with quick to dissipate tan head. Aroma of sweet Christmas. Flavor follows and the spice profile is complimentary, subtle and delicious. This beer is so delicious you’ll want to drink a whole bottle and is easy enough to drink you could and high enough abv you’ll be drunk if you do.
