Sampled at the Hardywood Anniversary Release party. Pour s a dark brown with fair tan head. A little nutty, but not much else by way of aroma, but it might just have needed to warm up a bit. More roasty, earthy, bitter coffee grounds. Sweet and a little vegetal and hints of what I would describe as ’roasting marshmellow". Not bad. But didn’t really blow me away or anything. Still, pretty solid brew.

From the tap came a very dark brew with a dark head. Aroma of malt. Flavors are fairly even hops and malt. Full bodied and tasty.

Tap. Very dark with thin tan. Smells chocolaty and dark fruity. Nice dry roasty flavor with a medicinal note. First slick then dry- nice dry finish.

Draft @ thw brewery. Pours deep brown with a small but persistent tan head. Very roasted aroma, slight vanilla hints. Taste is very vanilla heavy. Like creamy coffee. Dry finish. Hope this goes into bottles.
