750 ml bottle from RABinVA- thanks again, Brosmer! Pours a semi-cloudy gold with some white head. Some floral and light bread, funky notes start it off, with herbs, some mixed fruits in the middle and a lot of straw, grains, and doughy malts late. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation. A little restrained, but at 4.5%, this is a very good session saison.

11/10/2013. 750 ml. corked and caged bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with a white head. Yeasty aromas with malt, bread, spice and light fruit. light body with citrus and malty flavors. Finishes with light hops.

I think that they tried a little too many flavors on this one. Way too much going on and the Anise did not mix with the lemongrass.

C&C 750 mL bottle from the brewery. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of floral, herbal hops, spice, pale malts and a faint bit of honey. The taste is earth, anise, herbal notes, mild tropical notes, pale malts and some pepper builds at the very end. Medium bodied, lingering spice, low carbonation, fairly delicate.

Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Aroma is lemony with strong yeast notes, light peppery spice, grass, straw, earthy notes, flowers and dried fruit. Taste is strong lemongrass, bold yeast, earthy and floral hops, light peppery spice, dried fruit, soft toasted malt, grass, straw and soft anise. Body is light with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more lemongrass, spice notes, dried fruit, lots of yeast, grassy notes, straw and earthy hops.

Sample at RFD. Draft->mini lager. Pours a hazy pale yellow with thin white head. Aroma and taste are grains, grass, spice, yeast. Unbalanced and unpleasant, not a fan at all.

8 aug 2013, bottle. Yellow and hazy. Nose is lemon pith, slightly spiced, straw, some rock candy. Thin body and faintly fizzy. Lemon, faint cinnamon, faint barnyard. Ok.

4oz pour. Poured a slightly hazy light yellow-orange color with a small wispy head. Aroma was light malts, grains, some yeast notes. Flavor was yeasty malts, grain, sweetness.
