COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and uninhibited, Hardywood Singel is a feat in balance. Sunshine golden with a fluffy head and a veil of Belgian ale yeast, Singel’s tropical fruit esters complement its spicy hop aromatics. Delicate in body, Singel’s mellow, dry finish culminates a truly ethereal experience. Hardywood Singel’s stylistic inspiration originates with the Trappist brewers of western Europe, who are often celebrated for their gloriously complex dubbels and tripels, and whose devotion to crafting heavenly libations is second to none. Unknown to many, some of the Trappist brewers also brew a milder ale for daily consumption within the walls of the monastery. Hardywood Singel is our interpretation of this style.

Hazy gold appearance with a small white head and spotty lacing. Sweet, yeasty aroma with fruit and spices in the background. Flavors of bread, tropical fruit , spices and a low keyed hop presence. Soft bitter aftertaste stays focused on the spiciness. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish.

12 oz bottle. (Shenandoah Hops) Staunton, VA.
Cloudy pale yellow colour with a small white head. Mild aroma of yeast and apples. The flavour is mild bitterness, apples and hints of yeast. It clearly is a interpretation of Belgian Blonde. More flavour and more body would help a lot.

Tap. I decidedly like the bottles sample I had a lot better for its depth, but sadly wasn’t able to rate it. Hazy bright light gold, nice lacing. Citrus, hay, slight earth and white grape and pear sourness in the aroma. Flavor is very similar, touch bitter and has a nice refreshing finish. Lighter body with tingly carbonation. Good brew.

On tap at Sharkys. Opaque pale golden with big white head. Aroma is dirty socks/yeast, light body, well carbonated, and good thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is grainy, malty, and some yeasty. Nothing to write home about.

Bottle. Floral aroma. Pours golden with foamy head that fades quickly. Tastes of lemongrass, toast, wheat, and a hint of citrus. Finishes dry with a little bitterness. Nice standard Belgian Blonde.
