COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and uninhibited, Hardywood Singel is a feat in balance. Sunshine golden with a fluffy head and a veil of Belgian ale yeast, Singel’s tropical fruit esters complement its spicy hop aromatics. Delicate in body, Singel’s mellow, dry finish culminates a truly ethereal experience. Hardywood Singel’s stylistic inspiration originates with the Trappist brewers of western Europe, who are often celebrated for their gloriously complex dubbels and tripels, and whose devotion to crafting heavenly libations is second to none. Unknown to many, some of the Trappist brewers also brew a milder ale for daily consumption within the walls of the monastery. Hardywood Singel is our interpretation of this style.

bottle @ Beer Run / Charlottesville VA --- Hazy light amber color, white head cover, spots of lace. Thin aroma of malt. Taste is malt that adds yeasty fruit and light spice on the carbonated swallow, moving from there to a smooth hopped finish. Fairly thick and heavy in the stomach. Otherwise, a decent brew.

Bottle poured a hazy yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, yeast, lemon zest and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, yeast and light lemon zest with a smooth finish.

Thanks going to weihenweizen for this 12 oz. bottle. Hazy gold color with thin head in the snifter with thin lasting head retention. Aroma is mostly yeast that displays light floral and sweet bread hints.

The flavor is just like the aroma with the addition of a grain base and a mild pepper or spice finish. The body is lighter with a active / bubbly tingle over the tongue from the Co2. Overall it’s pretty easy drinking and a nice single Abby ale.

A very average Belgian. It pours a bright, clear, golden color. Medium head. The aroma is bananas and a little citrus, the malt is subdued. The flavor is typical for a Belgian; bananas, candied nuts, warm, bready malt, that classic Belgian yeast. It’s an OK beer.

Golden beer with a good head. Sunshine golden color. Pleasant to look at with a taste to match. Smooth drinkability with a pleasant aftertaste. Limited kick but goes down easily. Definitely worth a shot.

Pale straw colour. The nose is spicy and fruity. Has a little bit of pepper and some nice soft fruitiness. A classic yeast profile and a little bit of herbal character. Pretty damn nice pint.
