COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with wheat, a touch of rye and a ton (yes, a whopping 2,000 lbs. in a 40-barrel batch) of fresh, ripe strawberries grown by Agriberry at the Chesterfield Berry Farm just 30 miles from the brewery, Hardywood Virginia Strawberry is a fruit beer in all its glory. The color of a southern sunset, with a refreshingly delicate body, Hardywood Virginia Strawberry finishes with a hint of tartness and an irresistibly quenching character that makes it the perfect summertime libation. Retired since the beginning of 2013.

Bottle courtesy of dandrino, thank you sir! Hazy golden color, small white head. Aroma of strawberries and white pepper. Taste starts with sweet fresh fruit, then straw, then bitter finish. Nice.

750ml bottle. Poured a pretty clear yellow-amber color with a pretty large white head, lots of carbonation in this one. Aroma was a ton of tart strawberries, with some light sweet malt characteristics.

The name pretty much summed this one up. It was very refreshing to me, light and a bit like what Iíd expect a cider to be like, perhaps a bit too much like what youíd get from a gluten free beer, but I felt the Strawberries did this one good. Probably best on a sunny, hot day.

So close. Pours a lovely, well, strawberry, with a slight head. Aroma is strawberry and something faintly plastic-like. The flavor starts well, lightly wheaty malt base, a glorious burst of pure strawberry, and then, the very, very unfortunate finish. An affair with plastic on the tongue, the lovely strawberry notes are obliterated by rubbery phenols. Stupid wild yeast on strawberries. Worth trying again, maybe bathe the little suckers in Star-san before using them, I donít know. Too bad, really the first brew from these guys that I thought was a miss. For those who arenít sensitive to phenols, drink up and enjoy.

Shared by Chris. Thanks man. The beer is orange with a thin head. The aroma definitely brings strawberries, along with shoes and show business. Like a boss. I fuckiní love strawberries. The flavor is forthcoming, with more of the same. Strawberry juice and light beer, a step above the norm. Hell ya. Letís pick some berries and drink some beer. Canít we all get along?

Never been a huge fan of strawberries in beer. This one hasnít changed my mind. The strawberries are very prevalent. Almost a little phenolic, but i think Itís just the strawberries. A little alcohol heat also. Just donít like this very much

Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized white head. Good head retention. Aroma of tart strawberries and a faint plastic note. The taste is tart berries with a spicy finish. Medium bodied. Nice.

On tap at the brewery at the release event. Pours a ruby goldish brown without that much of a head. Doesnít smell of strawberry, just a slightly strange sweetness. Taste is where the strawberry comes in. Big, fruity sweetness, unmistakable as strawberry. Light tartness, but itís all fresh and natural. Nothing cloying, but it is A LOT of sweet. Refreshing, but not sure I can do more than a glass....will see when I pop a bottle.
