Light copper with a creamy white head. Aroma is soft and a touch nutty, not much in the way of hops, even the malt is a bit subdued. Perhaps a touch of ginger. The mouthful is pretty light and smooth, not much character to note... having had it straight after the pale, I found there to be a lot of similarities in the body and maltiness (but obviously not the hops). Clean smooth finish, not a bad drinker, but boring compared to their other beers. Bottle this one after the ESB please.

Jul 31, 2008 I find this genre a bit tough as the beers never seem to elevate themselves into anything more than competent. Tan colour and good looking head; the nitro working well here. Very smooth and easy to drink. Plenty of soft malts and hints of milk chocolate. What say, quite well made, particularly for the style, but as Chris rightly notes not Simon’s best beer.

Apr 21, 2008 On tap at brewery. This is a very, very smooth sipper. Orangey read in colour. Feels lovely on the tongue. very low carbonation, but with fizzy aftertaste.
