MBison (403), Southern Highlands, Australia Jun 23, 2008 Bottle (330ml). Poured a muddy dark bronze with a large, fluffy off-white head which lasted amazingly. Aroma was that of piney, fruity hops with strong notes of grapefruit, passionfruit, apricots and some toffee malts. Flavor was also piney and similar to aroma with a mild hop bitterness, toffee malts, passionfruit, grapefruit with some resin in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation a dry piney mouthfeel, water texture and a good finish.
Unholy_Brewing (312), Melbourne, Australia Aug 3, 2008 ...draft at Healsville Hotel. Light yellow color, with a white lasting head. Great hop notes, spicy with citrusy flavors, and tastes like the great outdoors. I suppose that is from the rainwater used in the brew. Cleansing, medium bodied with a dry finish, pretty good. Jarmby (25), Lilydale, Australia Feb 24, 2008 At times it seems to be a bit to yeasty ,which may be a freshness issue , however it is a decent ale winkle (441), Brisbane, Australia Aug 20, 2007 Bottled: Poured a hazy orange/copper with a big diminishing head. Floral fruity aroma. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Flavours are quite fruity - citrus+lychee? along with some earthier notes backed up with a good malty background, smoothes up to a quiet bitter finish. Not bad, verging on good - just seems to be lacking something. DuffMan (1962), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 7, 2007 Bottle, bought at the TCR in Launceston Tasmania. Very hoppy aroma-- citrus peel and resin. Champagne-like carbonation threatens to climb into your nose! Loads of hop character dominate here, with some pale malt bringing up the rear. The carbonaton and hop-driven profile give this a hard mouthfeel and a bitter finish.
