Just in time for winter, we have brewed a stout in the “Foreign Stout” style. With a pronounced roast barley character, this dark ale features generous palate weight and considerable length.

Pours black with light tan head that could be eaten with a spoon. Nive soft mouthfeel. Strong smokey charcoal flavour bring enough bitterness to keep the malt in the background. Long mocha finish that satusfies. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours with a thin tan head and a thick, black body. There is a pleasant, sweet aroma and the taste is complex with a mild burnt flavour that sits nicely on the palate. A pleasant stout, but it probably needs a bit more roasted malt/coffee.

Bottle from Plonk. Deep, oily black, brown head, lots of lacing, quite dry, roasty bitterness, espresso coffee, Xmas pudding, full body, heavy texture. Very good.

Deep black with a mocha coloured head that is maintained from pour to finish. Delicious yet subtle aromas of milk chocolate and roasted malt. Flavours of roasted barley, chocolate and coffee. Theres a touch of sweetness in the mid palate which leads to typical foreign stout dryness and a distinct hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is a letdown however with a watery rather than a stouty, stomach filling lusciousness.

Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a nice frothy tan head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate dark fruit and bit of nut in the background. Taste continues with roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate with some dark fruit in the background. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. Fairly full body, smooth and creamy. Nicely balanced. Very enjoyable stout. Worth checking out.

Nice surprise this one, was not expecting this to be such a good stout. Once warmed up a tad the aromas and flavours of dark chocolate and some coffee are pretty strong. Not a amazing stout by any means but still a very good solid effort. Would love to drink this again again.

What a pleasant enjoyable stout. Coffee and chocolate flavours with a hint of tabaco at the start but all really well balanced and intertwind, one of those beers that makes you look up the brewery and have a look at what else their brewing!

A-- Poured a dark cola color, lots of ruby coming through the beer. Very small, quarter of an inch, off white, or very light brown head. Some head retention but also quick fading. No carbonation showing at all. S-- Faint traces of coffee and roasted malts. A lot of stewed figs and plumb. Got the figs and plum right after opening the bottle. Granted this has a bit of age on it but like the Belgian type smell to this. T-- Roasted malts, roasted coffee and more figs. Gets very thin very quickly. M-- Gets thin and watery in the middle of palate and then get roasted to almost over extracted coffee in the end. Just a little bit of lactose as well. Bitter coffee finish and bitter coffee aftertaste. Good finish but middle needs some work. D-- Well hidden ABV at 6.2% but this needs some refinement. Like the nose and the finish but the taste and middle get watery and thin quick. Not as good as other Australian types.
